Location
We are based in Derby, Derbyshire and we currently provide our service to the East Midlands and the surrounding areas. However, we may be able to provide a service to those out of this area depending on location and distance. Please contact us if you would like our service but you are not based in the East Midlands

Company Policy
Insect City UK operate with public liability insurance.
Abusive behaviour towards staff or ill-treatment towards our animals will end the event with immediate effect without a refund.

Health and Safety
The client's health and safety and the animal's welfare are our top priorities. While our animals are well-adjusted, animals can be unpredictable and may attempt to defend themselves. Children must be supervised at all times by a parent or guardian.

All parties and Events
Customers may select a few of their favourite animals that they wish to see at the event. Our animals may be viewed on our 'Meet our Animals' page, note down the names of your favourite animals and send them over to us. We cannot guarantee all your favourite inverts will be able to attend as we have a strict rotation policy to ensure our animals have time to rest. We kindly ask that a table is provided for us to place out enclosures on, when a party or event is booked at a non-residential address such as a community centre etc - We thank you in advance. 

Bookings
A deposit of 50% of the total price to be sent via BACs (Bank transfer) within 5 days of the invoice being issued is required to secure a booking.
The remaining balance must be paid no later than 24 hours prior the event. 
Alternatively, you can pay the full amount at the time of booking.
Failure to pay in full no later than 24 hours prior the event will result in us cancelling without a refund. 

Cancellation
All deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.
No refund will be given if the event holder cancels within fourteen days of the event.
Another date may be offered if there are extreme weather conditions.
A full refund will be given if Insect City UK needs to cancel any event due to unforeseen circumstances.

Venue
Venue access needs to be appropriate with easy access as our animals and equipment can get quite heavy.

Local council permits will be required in advance if you are organising an event on public property (Parks).

Toilets and hand washing facilities will be provided by the event holder.

Insect City UK will provide hand wipes and sanitiser.

A copy of our insurance can be sent to your hired venue.​
