The listing is for 1x animal, of a beginner-friendly species of isopod (rolypoly/pillbug/woodlice) that is popularly kept as a terrarium clean-up-crew. A very fast breeding species, tolerant to a wider variety of conditions. This species also has a unique feature where its body appears to be coated in a powdery substance, giving it an attractive, velvety look. Whilst most individuals have a blue-ish appearance, this species is highly polymorphic and can give rise to a number of different colour morphs.
These are CAPTIVE BRED in my collection, with this stock originating from Europe. When purchased as a group the isopods will be supplied as an assorted mixture of ages and sizes, to ensure a good start to a breeding colony.
The isopods feed on a variety of forest materials such as decaying wood and leaf litter. Additional supplements such as calcium (limestone/cuttlefish bone) and fish food should be offered as part of their balanced diet.
